What Severe Weather events should be reported to the National Weather Service?
- Tornado or funnel clouds.
- Wall clouds should also be reported(no matter if it's rotating or not)
- Strong winds (55-60 MPH or greater) or wind damage (structural damage or trees/power lines down)
- Hail the size of pennies (3/4 inch diameter) or larger
- Stream flooding, street flooding, or streams approaching bankfull
When Calling in a report, Keep it Short and to the point.
They recieve alot of
reports from various people at different times.
